Founded in Harajuku, Tokyo in 1976, BEAMS has spent five decades shaping the way Japan approaches fashion, drawing together influences from across the worlds of clothing, art, design and popular culture. What began as a shop inspired by the American lifestyle has grown into one of Japan's most influential lifestyle retailers, with a reputation built on considered curation and an instinctive understanding of style.

At the heart of the brand is a simple philosophy: Basic & Exciting. It's an approach that looks to the familiar foundations of everyday clothing, finding new ways to interpret them through a distinctly Japanese perspective.

We're pleased to introduce BEAMS Casual to Peggs & son, joining our existing selection of BEAMS Plus and BEAMS Japan.

As the original men's casual line, BEAMS Casual draws from a broad wardrobe of established references, including American sportswear, workwear, military clothing, Ivy League style, rock, surf and skate culture. Rather than simply reproducing these influences, the collection brings them together with a contemporary sensibility, balancing recognisable design with modern proportions, unexpected colour and considered detailing.

For Autumn/Winter 2026, the collection takes this thinking a step further with the theme 'Evolution From The Roots'. Revisiting the foundations of American casualwear, it moves between the sharpness of 1950s Ivy, the practicality of 1970s heavy-duty clothing and the relaxed attitude of 1990s vintage and streetwear. Familiar references are given a fresh perspective through updated silhouettes, functional materials and a more expressive approach to colour and layering.

Our first selection reflects the breadth of the collection, moving between substantial outerwear, textured shirting and easy everyday staples. Tweed coats and shaggy blousons sit alongside nep denim, thermal waffle layers and lightweight down, while relaxed twill trousers and wide sweatpants provide a comfortable foundation for everyday dressing.
